Repipe’s Commercial & Industrial Pipe Replacement Solutions

RePipe delivers minimal disruption pipe replacement solutions for commercial and industrial clients. Indeed, RePipe’s service goal is to ensure our commercial and industrial clients and their operations don’t notice us. RePipe can provide commercial and industrial clients with an end-to-end pipe replacement service or deliver specific components of the pipe replacement process as required.

RePipe minimises disruption by delivering 2 interdependent solutions – exclusive pipebursting technologies and advanced risk management systems. RePipe’s exclusive and patented pipebursting technologies provide the least invasive way of replacing underground pipes with a brand new pipe of equivalent or larger diameter. Importantly, RePipe’s exclusive pipebursting technologies can replace almost all types and sizes of mains. In addition, RePipe can deliver customised pipebursting solutions for sites that are subject to heritage, cultural and environmental challenges.

In addition to the technologies offered by all pipe replacement contractors, RePipe holds the exclusive rights to a wide range of pipebursting technologies including those originally developed and patented by TRIC Tools Inc.

RePipe’s exclusive pipebursting technologies provide some significant advantages to other systems including:

  • Safer for operators via completely remote operation and zero harm pulling cable system
  • Superior pull pressures yet up to 34% less invasive than other pipebursting technologies. On average, RePipe’s pipebursting technologies require between about 10% of the excavation associated with open-trenching
  • Eliminate the aggressiveness and directional inaccuracies associated with other pipebursting systems to minimise the risk of damage to neighbouring assets
  • Eliminate the vibration associated with other pipebursting systems enabling pipebursting in unstable soils
  • Eliminate the noise associated with other pipebursting systems supporting less disruptive works in residential and high density areas
  • Faster to assemble and disassemble and faster pipebursting progress rates (up to 3 metres per minute) to minimise service interruptions
  • No moving parts (such as expander fins) that can choke with soil
  • Applicable to brittle and pliable pipe and fitting materials
  • Driven by an independent power source that enables RePipe to contain mobilisation costs and to scale the power source to suit specific sites
  • Do not introduce pneumatic hoses, oils or other potential contaminants into the barrel of the replacement pipe enabling potable water pipes to be pre-chlorinated prior to installation
  • An independent power source that enables RePipe to contain mobilisation costs and to scale the power source to suit specific sites
  • Enable pipebursting through multiple and consecutive bends and curves
  • Easily reoriented to simultaneously replace property service branches
  • Support pipebursting in pipes filled with liquid.

There are a number of reasons I think RePipe’s pipebursting tools have an advantage over other pipebursting tools. The main reason is that they are far safer…….there is less heavy gear, the cable system also means you can do longer runs, it is quicker, the access pits needed are considerably smaller and you don’t need as many of them which in turn means less reinstatement and lower cost. And on top of all that it is much quieter.

An equally important component of RePipe’s least disruptive pipe replacement service is world-leading risk management systems. RePipe has developed and embedded a risk management system that enables us to identify, assess, manage and monitor all of the risks arising from our specialised activities. In particular, RePipe’s risk management system addresses 2 key risk categories not traditionally covered by pipe replacement providers – operational (business) risk and integrity risk. RePipe considers that its management of integrity risk is fundamental to its success because any risk management system is only as strong as the strength of character of the people operating within it.

RePipe’s risk management system is embedded in every aspect of RePipe’s activities – from project planning and pricing to completion of field works. In particular, RePipe’s advanced understanding of risk enables RePipe to develop innovative risk-sharing agreements to suit each client’s specific needs. RePipe then applies risk-based profit margins which reflect the residual risks to which it is exposed. RePipe’s risk-based pricing can reduce total project costs for clients by 10% whilst at the same time delivering stronger risk-adjusted returns for RePipe’s shareholders.

RePipe’s primary objective is to conduct its business with ‘zero harm’. Beyond this, RePipe employs its very own Echo-NomicsTM framework to ensures our activities echo positive benefits for people, places and our partners.

Operationally, dedicated Risk Officers oversee the ongoing development of, and compliance with, RePipe’s risk management system and have the authority to report ongoing breaches directly to RePipe’s Board of Directors.
